Physical Description of Character: Haruhi considers herself to be average looking compared to her rich friends. Then again, she is a straight forward type of girl who cross-dresses as a guy. Anyway, compared to her guy friends she is the second shortest person there. She stands at a height of five feet and five inches. Her oak colored hair is short and styled like a boy’s with the back of her hair reaching to her neck and short bangs to frame her face. Her chest is a bit small, somewhere between an A and B cup, making her appear to be flat chested and come off as a guy. Her skin is a healthy shade of light peach since she prefers to stay in doors to study, read and because she has Host duties to attend to. The eye color of the girl contrasts to her hair color, while both are classified as brown Haruhi’s eyes are a mixture of honey and milk chocolate.

At a first glance, just wearing a sweater and jeans, a lot of people mistake Haruhi for a male since she doesn’t wear clothing that emphasizes her almost nonexistent curves and chest. However with a wig and a spaghetti strapped dress it’s easy to see she is a girl…but people won’t make that connection that she is actually Haruhi and not her twin. Aside from that she has no physical marks to distinguish her from anyone else, but her ears are pierced.

Point in Cannon: At the end of the anime when Haruhi gets Tamaki to stay and continue with the Host Club.
Personality: Haruhi isn’t a stereotypical girl. She doesn’t see the reason behind make-up, fancy clothes or gossiping about what so and so has done. Sure she does household chores, but that’s about it. The girl has a keen intellect and prefers to study since she has to be the top of her class in order to keep her scholarship. However, since joining the Host Club to pay off her debt her studying time has shrunk, but not to the point where it has hurt her grades. After all, that’s what the weekends are for!

In dealing with people she is nice and straight forward with her clients which some how has contributed to her popularity. She has a good insight into the feelings of others, but is completely clueless when someone likes her. She is simple in nature and has no interest in drama or anything related to it.

History of the Character: Haruhi was born on February 6th to a lawyer mother and a drag queen father. When she was six her mother died, but before then she knew she wanted to be like her mother. It has always been a dream of hers to become a lawyer. After her mother died she assumed the ‘mother’ role in the house, doing the cooking and cleaning. Growing up with a cross dressing father had a huge impact on her life. She has no worries or concerns about how to act like the appropriate gender. To her she could careless if she’s seen as a guy or girl which is why she allows the Host Club to treat her as one of the guys.

In order to follow her drams Haruhi applied for a scholarship to Ouran High School hoping its great programs could help her get into a good college. One day she ended up in Music Room 3. She wanted to study but ended up breaking a vase that was worth more than anything she owed and would ever own. Some how in the chaos of it she received a make over (her glasses and messy hair style were deemed awful by the other host’s) and after seeing how handsome she looked she became a part of the club to help pay off her debt. It wasn’t until later that day that the King of Ouran learned of her true gender…but everyone else it was some how apparent she was a girl.

As of right now she’s perfectly happy with her group of friends and school.
